Spectra、インドでマネージドSD-WANを提供するためにVersa Networksを採用

Versaは現在、80を超えるグローバルプロバイダとマネージドサービスプロバイダ契約を締結しています。Indian service provider Spectra will now offer Versa Networks’ SD-WAN services to its small, medium, and large enterprise customers across the country. Spectra offers managed cloud and software-defined services as well as internet and broadband across its optical fibre network. The provider claims it delivers India’s fastest internet speeds of 10 Gb/s for businesses and 1 Gb/s for homes and private parties. The Versa offering builds on its existing portfolio of managed SD-WAN services. Currently, Spectra also offers managed LAN, WiFi, and security services to its customers. Under the provider’s new partnership with Versa Networks it will offer its customers managed services based on Versa technology. This includes WAN and software-as-a-service (SaaS) optimization; application aware and outcome-based intelligent traffic routing; network security; and centralized management and monitoring for applications, network, security, and performance. In addition, Spectra will leverage Versa FlexVNF. This a multi-service, multi-tenant platform that helps deliver scale, segmentation, programmability, and automation. The FlexVNF delivery means Spectra will be able to offer the fully-featured routing and SD-WAN with integrated security including next-generation firewall (NGFW), and unified threat management (UTM) functionalities. In addition, the FlexVNF enables service chaining, scalability and elasticity, zero-touch provisioning, and context-aware policy application. According to Atchison Frazer, Versa’s worldwide head of marketing, “Versa’s technology was the first to market with fully integrated SD-WAN and NGFW/UTM security in the same image, so the full vision of Versa’s Secure Cloud IP architecture was what Spectra found most appealing.” Versa built a carrier-grade system for its SD-WAN that runs on hardware and is programmable. It seamlessly supports both hybrid and public cloud infrastructures. The SD-WAN provider claims that under the partnership Spectra it will be able to lower capex by 25 percent and reduce the total cost of ownership. It also boasts that it can deliver 100 percent uptime with redundancy by offering it over broadband and wireless. Versa also says that the Spectra customers will see a 10-times improvement of bandwidth compared to traditional WAN-based on MPLS. A number of additional providers have integrated Versa’s technology to build their own managed SD-WAN. Versa claims that it now has more than 80 managed service providers as customers. This includes CenturyLink, Comcast Business, China Telecom Global, KDDI, Singtel, Tat Communications, and Verizon. This is not Versa’s first partnership in India. Last year, Indian ICT service provider SiFy Technologies selected its Secure Cloud IP Platform, SD-WAN, and SD-Branch services to sell to its customers. Indian service provider Tata Communications, in December 2016, also selected Versa as one of the variants of its managed SD-WAN service.
